Complex scenes
Real-time simulations of complex urban environments are possible. The city model, simulated includes 36,000 buildings containing about 1,500,000 triangles and can be simulated in about 50 milliseconds using a NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GTX graphics card. This time does not include the time needed to copy the data to the video memory.
A subset of the model is simulated with 1m pixel resolution. SARVizEdu is able to simulate and visualize complex urban areas in different resolutions. In this example all buildings are assumed to have Lambertian reflection and have the same material properties.
